The DRV8871-Q1 or DRV8872-Q1 may be the closest 8-pin options. Note these devices do not support PH/EN control mode and they are not pin-2-pin compatible with the DRV8838. Other options may be the DRV8801A-Q1 (16-pin QFN), DRV8832-Q1 (10-pin 6.8 V device). Thank you.
