DRV8411AEVM: GUI connection

Can't get GUI to connect properly to the EVM. Have tried redownloading the GUI composer runtime and reinstalling the GUI. Connected the USB cable first, then powered up the EVM. The GUI does not come up at its home page, so can't select EVM type or update FW. The error message is: CS_DAP_0: Error initializing emulator (error -260 @ 0x0).

Hi Ron,

We had a GUI Composer outage today morning which also affected the standalone app in the computer. Not sure if what you were experiencing was due to that. It seems like it is up and running now.

If you have trouble with desktop app, could you please try running the Cloud based app, https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/MotorDriversBSM/DRV841xEVM-GUI/ver/0.1.0/? You may have to login to dev.ti.com/gallery using your myTI credentials prior to clicking on the cloud GUI link. Please try this. I just tried running both the cloud version and my desktop version of this GUI app and it is running as expected. My computer is running Windows 11 pro 23H2.

Thanks, Murugavel. It is working now; I had the wrong GUI. The GUI installed was the one I was directed to through the dev.ti.com/gallery when I searched on DRV8411AEVM. It directed me to download the MSPMOL-DRV8411A-EVM-GUI. The link you sent me downloaded the DRV841xEVM-GUI. So there seems to be an issue with searching in the gallery for the proper GUI.
