DRV8711: Current sense resistor selection

Hello sir,

I am using 0.01 E current sense resistor for stepper motor. But, for DC motor it is not suitable please help to choose the current sense resistor.

Are you driving BDC motors also with the same DRV8711. Can you please share a block diagram for understanding the system.

actually voltage is coming from driver to motor but current is limit so that motor is not running what all changes must be do in drv8711 as software vice

Thank you for posting in this forum.

DRV8711 regulate current based on formulae provided in datasheet. 8.2.2.2 Calculate Current Regulation:

By setting up correct value for TORQUE, ISGAIN, and Rsense, the full scale current can be adjusted for your application.
