DRV3946-Q1: CHx_PC Peak Current Voltage Trip Levels

The DRV3946-Q1 datasheet provides the over-current voltage trip levels for the different CHx_HC settings, but no information for the over-current voltage trip levels for the peak setting: CHx_PC.  

Table 7-7 provides the equations for both: 

But the Electrical Characteristics only provides info for CHx_HC.  Can you please provide the corresponding data for CHx_PC?

    Can you confirm the values given in the table apply for both CHx_PC and CHx_HC settings?

    • The set point for the mentioned contactors can be set by using CHx_HC, CHx_PC settings in register CONFIG_A0(for channel 1) and CONFIG_A1 (for channel 2). I have attached an excel file which can be used to calculate (Refer to sheet "PC_HC_ Register Computation") the settings file for a particular RIPROPX value.
    • Details on internal regulation mode
      • The attached excel, sheet "PC_HC_ Value" you can find different cases of current achievable using the programming resistance
      • The accuracy of the current will be dependent on the accuracy of RIPROPX and is given by the following equation.

                        The variation on the AIPROPI is shown below

                   Along with the resistor tolerance and the variation of AIPROPI, the accuracy can be calculated.

    • For Type A contactor ( 3A/100ms peak current & 0.7A  hold current) the config file can be programmed to 0x9316 (for RIPROPx = 12k), for the type B (2A/100ms peak current & 0.4A  hold current) the config file can be programmed to 0x5C05 (for RIPROPx = 12k).
