Hello TI Team,
I am using the MCF8316AEVM board with Motor Studio GUI (device selected: MCF8316C), but the board is not fully powering up.
The D7 (red) LED never turns on, and Motor Studio shows “EVM Not Connected” even though my computer recognizes the USB device and plays the connection sound.
Could you please help me identify why D7 (nSLEEP / DRV enable) LED is not turning on and the EVM is not detected in Motor Studio?
Is there any jumper, fuse, or hardware condition that might block the driver section from powering up?
Attached are photos showing my exact setup (power supply, board, and Motor Studio screen).
Additional information:
This issue started after connecting the MCF8316AEVM board to an MSP432 LaunchPad(via GPIO control lines for DIR and BRAKE).
Before that, the EVM was recognized normally by Motor Studio, but now it shows “EVM Not Connected” and the D7 LED does not turn on anymore.
It seems something might have been damaged or disabled after the connection.
