DRV2605L: Waveform library effects

Part Number: DRV2605L
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2605

I am using the DRV2605 for a wearable. Right now we are seeing a stark difference of effectiveness while using 2 different waveform effects from the the preinstalled library. One waveform works for our application while the next one in the library does not at all (e.g - #86 vs #87). The names are similiar (1 vs 2), and scope plots look very similar, but it's been hard to identify the exact difference on an oscilloscope. Is there more documentation on what each waveform is doing? I'd gladly take this offline.

  • Hi JDrulia,

We will review your question and get back to you as soon as possible.
Please expect some delay during 02/16 holiday.

  • Hello,

We do not have documentation on the difference between each waveform. We recommend customers test these waveforms with their LRA / ERM model mounted on their end equipment to feel which haptic response is best for their system. These waveforms were developed by a third party Immersion.
