Connecting CD74HCT4067 to driver IC

Hi,

I need to drive a relay coil rated 12V DC coil voltage, 720 ohm coil resistance and 200mW switching power. Instead of using a driver for each and every relay, I want to connect driver output to a demux. Can CD74HCT4067 server this purpose? Also, can ULN2003V12 drive such a coil?

Hi Srikanth

Since you posted here at motor driver forum, we can give our better relay driver as DRV8860.

8 outputs, auto energizing and internal configurable PWM to save holding power, serial interface with daisy chain ability, all are good features to diver relays.

Thanks for the reply. I'm looking for low cost relay drivers. Can I drive relay coil rated 12V DC coil voltage, 720 ohm coil resistance and 200mW switching power through CD74HCT4067 with ULN2003V12?

Hi Srikanth

Yes. I don't see why not. Note the CD74HCT4067 needs a lower supply.
