Can DRV8802-Q1 dual driver be bundled together?

I'm FAE of distributor,I support Automotive customers in Japan.

Customers want DC motor driver, request spec is max 40V,3A output.

They feel DRV8801-Q1 is not enough max voltage and max current.

DRV8802-Q1 is dual channel and able to dvrive each 1.6A,

If DRV8802-Q1 outputs can be bundled together,It's match for their requests.

Can DRV8802-Q1 dual driver be bundled together?

Hi Muramatsu-san,

It is not recommended to connect the outputs in parallel. The AOUTx and BOUTx transition could separated by up to 3us. If this happens, AOUT1 could be an output high and BOUT1 could be an output low. This could undesired high current conditions.

Is it possible to use the DRV8828 instead? This is a non Q1 device similar to the DRV8802. It is designed to handle one motor driver at twice the current of the DRV8802.

I understand DRV8802-Q1 is not recommended in this case.

Do you have plan DRV8828 in AEC-Q100 grade?
I ask customer possibility of DRV8801-Q1.
