Hi Sir,

My company currently simulate DRV8880 now, but have some question need you help
1.    About DRV8880 AutoTune function, what situation we can use AutoTune function? Look spec should be relate motor’s torque?
2.    If we use AutoTune function, RSENSE suggest how to design?

Attachment file is motor spec, suitable in this case? thanks.

Vin = 10.8V~39V

Motor Current spec 350mA

Motor PPS not exceed 500PPS

    Hi Kuo,

    1) It is suggested to use AutoTune at all times. The motor specified should work with AutoTune.

    2) What do you mean RSENSE suggest how to design?

    The RSENSE is the same for all decay modes. It is suggested to select a sense resistor that will create no more than .5V on the xISEN pin. For example using a 1 Ohm sense resistor will create .35V. The VREF voltage would be 2.3V.
