Question regarding LRA freq. of DRV2603

Hi~ there~

Out customer has an issue on LRA freq. using DRV2603.

In datasheet, DRV2603 support 140~220Hz for freq.of LRA.

But they have to use LRA with 230Hz because of size issue.

Is there any method to solve this?

Please kindly answer.

Hi Myung,

Since the LRA's resonant frequency is out of the supported range, unfortunately there is not much we can do to allow the device to operate reliably outside that range. Have they tested the LRA on the DRV2603?

I would recommend that your customer considers using one of our newer haptic drivers, such as the DRV2624/25 which can support frequencies from 45Hz to 300Hz.

Thanks for quick answer~

They have tested DRV2603 w/ their own board.

So I've recommanded to change DRV2604 for LRA they want to use.

With DRV2604 EVM, sgnals of Motor OUT+/- are all ok.
