recently I had a meeting, where the customer requires a motor driver with following specifications:
Input: 12V car battery
Output: 0-12V PWM, drives one external MOSFET.
Switching Frequency approx. 20kHz
Input Signal: Analogue voltage
Unidirectional only, overcurrent protection with foldback, short circuit protection and reverse polarity protection
Therefore, the only device I found was the TL2843B-Q1, but the limitation here is the 100% duty cycle, as the MIN spec is stated as 96%. Do you have an idea how we can support the customer with an appropriate solution? In addition, cost should be very low and using a microcontroller is not desired.
Maybe we have a reference design which fits in here? Thank you for your help and kind regards,
