BOOSTXL-DRV8301: initialising

I am trying to run a 3 phase PMSM with TMS320F28069 and Boostxl-drv8301 without using 'motorware' software. Can someone help me with the initialisation of Boostxl-drv8301 (enabling the gate drivers, acknowledging the faults signals etc.. )??

Hi Amrutha,

Enabling the device is described in the DRV8301 datasheet. Do you have a specific question about the enable or fault signals?

I am giving PWM pulses. Otherthan that what signals I have to give? Is there a documentation on that?

Hi Amrutha,

The datasheet describes the signals required to control the DRV8301, and the SPI registers.

Using the existing motorware code and the DRV8301 datasheet is a good method the determine the signals required.
