DRV8601ZQVEVM: DRV8601ZQVEVM Need higher VO,Diff ?

Part Number: DRV8601ZQVEVM

Hi

We have used DRV8601ZQVEVM chip to control a DC motor with a differential feedback with external reference.

We are varying PWM duty cycle from 0% to 100% and vice versa of 1000Hz freq and 3.3 voltage.

Vdd is supplied by a 3.7V-4.2V battery and.

We have a Vo,Diff max of 1,65 V and we want to know how to have more ?

According to the datasheet we should change RI or RF but we are not sure about which resistor is RI and which one is RF and if it's better to change RI or RF.

Here's our schema

  • Hi Tom,

If I crunch your numbers assuming VDD = VIN = 3.7V, I get (3.7-3.3/2)*(47k/47k) = 2.05V. If you want to increase the voltage, you can increase Rf (feedback resistor), which is R21 and R4. The range for Rf and Ri is 20k - 100kOhms. Ri is R17.
I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any further questions.
