DRV10970EVM: Selecting the correct eval board

Part Number: DRV10970EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV10970

Hello,

I've searched through the forum but couldn't find a solid answer, so I'm hoping my post is not a duplicate.

I have an application where I currently have a brushed DC motor that I would like to replace with  a 3 phase BLDC with hall sensors. Specs are as follows:

- Automotive application (12v DC, range 11-5v)

- PWM speed control of the current motor, would like to reuse that signal for the BLDC

- Current draw of the brushed motor is about 2A max. Expecting the BLDC will be lower (just guessing here)

- BLDC is a 42BLF01, 17vDC Nom, no load speed of 10,000rpm, rated torque=0.063 N-m, back EMF constant=1.79 V/kRPM

My question is: I'm looking at DRV10970EVM but not sure it's the right eval board to prove out the replacement motor. Do you have suggestions for the right board? My goal is to A) prove out the replacement motor, and B) use it as a reference circuit design for manufacutring.

Thank you in advance for the help!

Brian
