Hi team,

I am using DRV8825 stepper Driver ,Driver ic is getting heated,

Stepper driver sense resister 0.2ohm and Vref is 0.9 volt

Stepper motor specification :

1.24 volt

2. 0.72A each winding

Our application operate at room tempreture

please suggest me how to taken care heat dissipation in PCB, and How to reduce heat

Hi Krishna,

The device temperature will increase due to power dissipation through the FETs.

What do you mean "getting heated"?

Is the device entering thermal shutdown?

What decay settings are you using?

Do you have a current probe to capture the motor currents? If you do can you provide the scope captures?

Device doe's not enter thermal shutdown, but device temperature is increases,
