DRV2605LEVM-MD: Cannot control from HCC GUI

Part Number: DRV2605LEVM-MD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2605L

I just received my DRV2605LEVM-MD kit, but could not get it to work with the HCC 1.5.3.0 GUI.

The default profiles work, meaning I can use the B1 and B2 buttons to drive the LRAs I connected to OUT1 and OUT2 – both vibrates fine.

However, I could not get it to work with the HCC GUI (V1.5.3.0).

I made sure the EVM board is in I2C mode by pressing the User SW and making sure the LED1 is on. When I fire up the GUI, from Tools/CONSOLE” I can select the DRV2605LEVM-MD” and a dialog box opens up with the “DRV2605LEVM-MD – Simulator” title. I could not get anything to work in this state.

I then go to “USB” drop down menu, it shows “0.            “, instead of “0. DRV2605LEVM-MD” as suggested by the HCC user manual. Double clicking the “Connect” tab will open up another dialog box with the “DRV2605L – simulator” title (not EVM-MD.” I could not make things work either from here.

I’ve tried a number of other things, resetting the board, close and reopen the GUI, even tried another laptop – still no luck.

Please suggest next steps or tell me what I did wrong.
Ideally, if you can have a tech support personnel call me an walk me through te bring up process.

Thanks.
