DRV8850: Brake function with EVM

Hi

DRV8850 has no brake function but it could be possible to INxL to high and INxH to low.

Is it correct?

If yes, is it possible to operate brake with EVM?

    Hi na na78,

    Yes, it is possible to operate the DRV8850 in brake mode by setting IN1L high, IN1H low, IN2L high, and IN2H low.

    It is possible to operate brake with the EVM. It may require some modifications to either the firmware or the board to do so. When do you need this information?

    Hi,

    EVM  can operate in brake mode by setting INxL to high and INxH to low.

    Adjust SPD_ADJ potentiometer , DRV8850  mode will be switch between brake and drive.
