DRV2511-Q1: DRV2511-Q1 vs DRV595

Hi,

we want to use the DRV2511-Q1 as a TEC driver. From the datasheet i looks like the IC is quite similar to DRV595 but better. (much cheaper but higher current)

We tried to use the DRV2511 with L-C-filter but it didn't start, when we connected the H-Bridge to the L-C filter. The current (DC+ripple) was far below 8A.

Do you have any ideas? Our Layout is pretty much the same as for DRV595EVM. I haven't found any DRV2511 specific reference layout with output filters. What are the causes for fault detection?

Our supply voltage is 24V.

    Could you share the value of the components that you're using? Schematic should be good to take a look. You can send it to ivan.salazar@ti.com if don't want to upload it to the forum.
    Have you verified that the inductors of the filter are not saturating?
    Also have you tried without the filter? Is it working fine without it?
