Part Number: DRV103
Hello dear TI members,
I'm designing a solenoid driver based on the DRV103H chip. In order to select proper capacitor for the Delay Adjust pin, I would like to have more details regarding the maximum voltage that can appear across this capacitor.
Based on the FIGURE 3 on the datasheet, it seems that this capacitor is charged by a 3uA current source connected to +Vs (i.e. 24V in my application).
When input is triggered (i.e. load turned ON), the capacitor will be initially discharged (i.e. 0V) and its voltage will start to rise. At 2.6V capacitor voltage the comparator will trigger the PWM mode of the out drive to reduce the average output current.
At this point, is the capacitor still charged by the 3uA current source ?
Up to what voltage ?
Do I have to expect that this capacitor will be charged up to +Vs ?
I need to select the proper voltage rating for this capacitor so any details on that point will be highly appreciated.
Best regards,
Jonathan.
