Dear TI Experts,

I am now using DRV8823-Q1.

And I want to double check with you is it SPI interface?

As far as I am concerned, SPI is made up of MOSI MISO SCLK NSS,

So how should I connect the below Serial interface to SPI interface?

Does DRV8823 have the function of returing the status of stepper motor's to MCU？

Hi Hanxiang Wu,

The DRV8823 has a serial interface. It is not described as SPI.

The interface is similar to a SPI interface, but has no MISO. The chip select (SCS) is positive logic.

Please see the DRV8823EVM for an example of how to connect the mcu to the DRV8823, and how the firmware operates.
The Design Files ( www.ti.com/.../slvc590 ) contain both the EVM schematic and firmware.
