DRV2625EVM-CT: Replicating EVM behavior

Part Number: DRV2625EVM-CT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2625

Hi DRV gurus,

We are evaluating the DRV2625 for our application and recently started working with a DRV2625EVM kit. For these tests we have connected an accelerometer to the on-board LRA on the EVM. For now, the intention is to use similar LRA excitation as in the EVM user's guide, capture the accelerometer waveforms, and compare with the acceleration waveforms in the UG.

We see the following acceleration waveform (accelerometer output) for sharp click effect (B2 pressed in Mode 0).

This looks a bit different than what's shown in Fig 3 of the UG (below). Does the above waveform look correct? It is not clear in the UG if Fig 3 captures all of the waveform pattern or only a part of it for comparison between closed loop and open loop behavior.

Thank you.

  • Hi Hrishikesh,

Perhaps the effect name in the User's Guide for Button B2 is a mistake.
You can verify the effects using Haptic Control Console GUI. Internal Trigger Mode provides the complete list of effects included in the device library.
