Hi,
Is it OK to use 2.2uF capacitor between VM and VCM for DRV8702-Q1? I'd like to know if anything happen if I use capacitance not 1.0uF because 2.2uF is easier to prepare.
Best regards,
Itoh

Hi Itoh-san,
It is not recommended for the following reasons:
1) The device was designed and simulated to use a 1uF capacitor from the VCP pin to the VM pin. The expected variation is typically +/-50%.
2) Increasing the capacitor can change the switching frequency. The charge pump switching frequency could be below the min value. NOTE: This may be beneficial in some cases.
3) The devices are not tested to operate using the larger VCP capacitor. This could be a problem in the event of a failing device.
