Hi,

I am current using a Dual Half bridge driver IC with external mosfets from another manufacturer. I would like to know if I can use DRV8881 using external mosfets for the DC motor current upto 20A applications. Any suggestions for other TI drivers if there are any. Please reply.

    Hi Vino,

    The DRV8881 has internal FETS and cannot be used to drive external FETs.

    We have the following devices available to drive external FETs

    DRV8701
    DRV8702-Q1
    DRV8703-Q1
    DRV8704  -- dual motor gate driver

    Please consider these.
