DRV8834: Question for DRV8834

Part Number: DRV8834
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8825, DRV8824,

Hi Team,

The customer is experiencing below issue and needs your help.

According to the manual, when an error occurs, the pin will be low, so customer connected it to the high level. On the DRV8825, the motor rotates.

On the DRV8824, The customer connected the 16 pin nFAULT to the high level. View with an oscilloscope, AOUT1 and BOUT1 have output waveforms. But the waveform is wrong.

  • Annie,

    1. Are you working on DRV8825, or DRV8824, or DRV8834?

    2. "when an error occurs, the pin will be low, so customer connected it to the high level. On the DRV8825, the motor rotates."

What are you trying to do? Are you trying to pull nFault high to fix the error? nFault is an output pin. It cannot fix the error. What error  are you talking about?

    3. Do you leave AVREF and BVREF input pin floating and try to get AOUT1 and BOUT1?
