DRV-ACC16-EVM: possibility to use as accelerometer

Part Number: DRV-ACC16-EVM

Hello team,

I'm looking to replace an Accelerometer sensor from STmicroelectronics and came across this EVM; do you think it could be used to evaluate the vibrations of the weigher during the weighing phase. The specs are to measure variations of 10mg or below, and with frequencies below 10Hz.

Do you believe we could propose such design?

Thank you and best regards,

Adrian

  • Hi, Adrian,

I think the DRV-ACC16-EVM could be used to measure the acceleration of the wigher as you mentioned. We actually use this EVM to measure the acceleration in the LRA actuators, so a weigher vibrations shouldn't be a problem to be measured.

However, as far as I know, we have no accelerometer sensors that could replace it on the EVM. If you are interested in a different solution, I found this one on ti.com.
