DRV8806: Typical Characteristics table that show output current t vs temperature

Part Number: DRV8806

Hİ,

DRV8806 datasheet  dedicates that 2-A (Single Channel On)/1-A (All Channels On) Maximum (with adequate PCB heatsinking at 25°C). Drive Current per Channel (at 25°C).

Additionally I need to know changing of the output current with respect to changing of temperature. Have you got a specification or Typical Characteristics table  that show output current t vs temperature?

Best regards,

Gamze GÜNAY

  • Gamze,

The thermal performance is relied on the PCB layout a lot. The datasheet gives the thermal resistance.

The power loss can be estimated by Rds(on) x Load current x Load current.

After we know the power loss and the thermal resistance, we can get temperature vs load current curve.

For a fix layout, the thermal resistance won't change very much with different load current. DRV8803-04-05-06EVM ( http://www.ti.com/tool/DRV8803EVM ) is also available for your evaluation.
