DRV8837C: DRV8837C RMS current

DRV8837C cannot predict what the load inductance is and the motor back EMF is. So, it cannot give the RMS current without know the output inductance and the motor back EMF.

DRV8837C has 1.2A minimum OCP threshold. DRV8837 has 1.9A minimum OCP threshold. If the customer want to have 1A RMS, the peak output current has to be lower than 1.2A if they uses DRV8837C.

What is the input voltage for this application? If the customer want to have a peak current higher than 1.2A, please check DRV8870 if the input is higher than 6.5V.

Thanks for your response. I see from DRV8837C datasheet that the peak drive current was internally limited? So what does the internally limited mean?
