DRV10974: Min RPM

Part Number: DRV10974

Dear colleague,

Our customer is selecting a BLDC driver.

Their needs are:

1. BLDC motor: 300RPM-1200RPM

2. BLDC motor is 12V*0.12A=1.4W. 

3. BLDC motor is sensorless.

The customer thinks DRV10974 min RPM is too large. This is right?

And do we have a more proper device?

    Hi Rock,

    Thanks for posting your question in MD forum. Looking at the voltage and current rating of the motor, DRV10974 might be a good choice for your application. Motor speed actually depends on the BEMF constant. If the BEMF constant is too low, then commutating at low speeds could be challenging! Below is the recommended application range for the device. If the motor falls within this recommended range, then DRV10974 should be good for your application.
