Do you have the USB2ANY tool? When working on Windows 10, this EVM requires of this additional device to fully control the board.

Hi Luis,

I only have the DRV2625EVM-CT evaluation module.

So, do I need to by the USB2ANY interface adapter? https://www.ti.com/tool/USB2ANY

In this case, is it enough? I mean, if I need anything else, please tell me, to buy everything at the same time.

Yes, this would be the only tool that you will require to have the EVM fully operating.

Regarding the DRV2625EVM-CT evaluation module, where should the ribbon cable be connected? The ribbon cable is provided?

Hi, Jorge,

You would just require of three pins to connect the USB2ANY to the DRV2625EVM-CT:

- SCL.
- SDA.
- GND.

You can use single female-to-female wires to connect these pins to J4 pins connector.

Hi,

I have the USB2ANY kit.

I connected to the computer.

The Haptics Control Console (HCC) detect that the board is connected through the USB port, but it cannot connect to it.

I downloaded the USB2ANY Explorer and it ask me to update the firmare. I have done it. But the HCC still continues failing to connect to the USB2ANY. After the firmware upgrade, I can read: 0.USB2ANY/OneDemo device.

What's wrong?

Hi,

I've been able to connect with the USB2ANY using HCC, but when I choose the console tool for the DRV2625, I still continue viewing: "Console : DRV2625 -- Simulator".

I'll try again after rebooting the whole system.

Hi Luis,

I cannot connect. Perhaps the order it's not correct. I've followed the steps:

Connect USB2ANY to computer
Open HCC
In HCC: USB 0.Haptics DRV-USBCOM-EVM v1.4 -> CONNECT
Board is connected
Connect DRV2625EVM-CT to computer
Press the + button for GUI mode (F is seen in the LED's display)
Connect DRV2625EVM-CT to USB2ANY
In HCC: Tools->Console->DRV2625

But I obtain "Console : DRV2625 -- Simulator" instead of USB

Hi again,

The window title says "Simulator", but I tried.

If I press START in Work Mode the LRA works.

But the software is a little bit tricky...

1.- Connect DRV2625EVM-CT to USB2ANY.

2.- Connect USB2ANY to computer.

3.- Press the + button for GUI mode (F is seen in the LED's display).

4.- Open HCC

5.- In HCC: USB 0.Haptics DRV-USBCOM-EVM v1.4 -> CONNECT

Hi,

It works...but only with the integrated LRA. The integrated ERM actuator doesn't vibrate in this GUI mode. I tried a lot of parameters but I cannot. And this ERM works perfectly with the pre-programmed effects.

I connected an external ERM to the OUT and it also works.
