DRV10970EVM: It is abnormal switching issue

Part Number: DRV10970EVM

Hi

My customer operated BLDC motor using to DRV10970EVM .

BLDC Motor Performance (10Vdc ref):

– Rated load (gear motor): 1.4 – 3.0 Kgf-cm (~ 0.14 – 0.30 Nm)
– Rated load speed (gear motor): around 60 – 70 rpm
– Rated load (bare motor): ~2.0 mNm
– Rated load speed (bare motor): around 14000 rpm

It is operated to abnormal switching waveform.

How I solve it. plz help me.

  • Hi Kiyong,

Thanks for posting your question in MD forum! Firstly, I'm not sure what all four waveforms in the scope represent. Are these, Phase-U, Phase-V, Phase-W Voltages and FG from top to bottom? Looking at the waveform, it looks like you are operating in trapezoidal mode. Is this waveform captured during startup? Switching is based on the commutation signals received from the Hall sensor. Do you see any issues in the motor performance?

    Regards,
