DRV8343H-Q1EVM: Eval board with DRV8343S labeled device

Part Number: DRV8343H-Q1EVM

Our eval board is properly populated for the DRV8343H hardware device with jumpers (J4/J7/J8/J9), yet the actual device on the board is labeled DRV8343S.

Is it possible we have the incorrect SPI interface device on a hardware configured eval board?

  • Eric,

Thanks for posting on the MD forum!

Have you checked if the GUI identifies the device as H or S and if it works correctly?

Sometimes especially with initial versions of the EVM or device there is only one symbol ready (H or S) and we use the same symbol for both S and H devices. The device should still work correctly since if it is marked as an H EVM then the board was tested as an H EVM and would have passed testing before being sent out.

    Regards,

    -Adam

  • The GUI appears to work as the H device.  We were concerned about accidentially damaging the device, but our confusion was simply in the labeling as you mentioned.  Thank you!
