Hi Team,
Do you have the spec about the transition time (typical or maximum value), or I can find it in any section in datasheet?
Thanks!
Patty

Hey Patty,
Just for clarification are you referring to the switching time of the H-bridge of the output, the transition time of changing the amplitude of the output or the I2C interface?

Hey Patty,
I am going to close this thread for now but if you have any questions or comments still feel free to post.

Hi Carson,
Customer is referring to the transition from the end of open-loop driving voltage to auto-braking signal is presented in OUTPUT P/N.
For example, the duration between M3 and M4.
In the driving portion, we are using open-loop and how long it takes to switch from driving to close loop braking, or it depends on the actuator behavior?
Thanks!

Hey Patty
Okay I understand now, I will need to do some measurements of my own on this because it is not detailed in the datasheet this specification

Hey Patty,
Based on measurements I have taken, if using an LRA in open-loop with auto-braking enabled, the actual transition time between modes is minuscule but it takes at least a millisecond for the closed-loop mode to detect the phase of the LRAs acceleration waveform and output the correct out of phase waveform to brake it. This time increases as the LRA frequency decreases. For an ERM in the same situation this time is not record-able due to it only having a DC output.
I hope this answers your question

Carson
