Hi there,

Does the device also report (driving nFault low) when I_TRIP has been reached or really only when I_OUT is greater than I_OCP?

    Hi Christian,

    The DRV8872-Q1 does not report when I_TRIP has been reached.

    nFAULT reports fault conditions; and I_TRIP is not considered a fault condition.

    The DRV8874-Q1 and DRV8876-Q1 have the ability to report reaching I_TRIP. The IMODE pin can set the nFAULT response.
