DRV10987EVM: GUI Error message

Hello team,

My customer is 

getting the below error message when starting the DRV10987 GUI. Kindly advise.

Device GUI.lvlib:GUI Wait for GUI Response via Notifier.vi:5770006:\DRV10983.lvlib:Export Read All.vi\DRV10983 High Level.lvlib:Main.vi

  • Here is additional information from customer-

    The hardware is showing connected but on clicking “Enable Config” we are getting these error.

    Error 1:

    Getting this error when hardware is connected and GUI dialog opens up.

    DRV10983 USB2ANY.lvclass:Write Register.vi<ERR>

    Register writing not successful!! Please restart the GUI and try again

    Error 2:

    Device GUI.lvlib:GUI Wait for GUI Response via Notifier.vi:5770006:\DRV10983.lvlib:Export Read All.vi\DRV10983 High Level.lvlib:Main.vi

  • Hi Mahendra,

    These errors usually happen when the GUI can’t access the runtime engine. Specifically, you either don’t have administrator rights (or didn’t run the GUI as an administrator) when the run time engine was installed. Or, when the GUI (or the runtime) was installed, it wasn’t installed in the right place. If you have any part of the labview library installed at all, that can interfere with the GUI.

    So, here are some things to try:

    • Run GUI in administrator mode (or obtain administrator rights on computer OR try other computer with administrator rights)
    • Ask if any other of module of labview is installed in the system and try again
    • Reinstall GUI and run time engine in their default paths and try again
