DRV8332: PWM_scheme

Part Number: DRV8332

I need to connect the chip DRV8332 with a micro-controller which generating (complementary low side fixed  PWM scheme ) and the illustrating in the data sheet only shows a bipolar PWM scheme, my question is that it's valid to use this scheme on this chip and it will be done by driving reset pins with the suitable way?

the mapping of the pins (DIO0:PWMA,DIO2:PWMB,DIO4:PWMC,DIO6:RESETA,DIO7:RESETB,DIO8:RESETC),and it's by logic will be applied ,I need just to confirm my point of view it will be compatible or not !

  • Hello Amin,

You can drive the pins of PWM_ABC and !RESET_ABC pins however you'd like. The purpose of the gate driver is to allow the user to have control of the algorithm. So, low side fixed PWM, bi-polar PWM, high side fixed, or mixed modulation are all valid commutation sequences for the DRV8332.

    Best,
