Hi Team,
My customer is surveying VCM driver and their end customer introduce DW9714V to them. So, do we have linear control VCM motor driver can replace DW9714V. P2P is even better.
Thanks very much.

Hi Vincent,
Let us do some investigating and we'll get back to you by tomorrow with a response.
Hi Ryan,
Please find attached, below is the feature description for this part.
DW9714V is designed for linear control of Voice Coil Motors (VCM). DW9714V has a single 10-bit DAC with 120mA output current sink capability. This device features Smart Actuator Control(SACTM) mode which can minimize the mechanical vibration and achieve faster mechanical settling time.
DW9714V operates from 2.3V to 4.3V supply. The internal DAC is controlled via I2C serial interface that operates at clock rate up to 1MHz. DW9714V offers Power Down(PD) mode with current consumption less than 1uA.
DW9714V can be used for auto focus applications in mobile cameras, digital cameras, web cameras and action cameras.
Thanks a lot.

Hi Ryan,
Please could you comment what's the DRV201A's advantage compare to DW9714V, I need information to convince my customer to choose DRV201A.
Thanks a lot.

Hi Vincent,
The DRV201A has a slightly higher operating voltage of 4.8V. The DRV201A has protection features such as open and short circuit detection, Under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protection, thermal shutdown, internal current limit for VCM driver, and 4kV ESD-HBM protection on all pins. The DRV201A also has a shutdown current of 0.15uA which is lower than the competitor.
Hi Pablo,
Understood, thanks very much for advices. I will keep following up with customer for this opportunity.
Best regards,
