DRV2605L: How to use DRV2605LEVM-CT Library with External Actuator

Hi,

We are evaluating the DRV2605LEVM-CT Library to build our own application on another MCU. This library contains built-in values for ERM/LRA Open/Closed Loop settings for various actuators. As I understood, these values were calculated according to the specifications of the listed actuators. But we will use different actuators which are not listed in this driver file. 

I want to know how did you calculate these values. I've read the DRV2605L datasheet and Setup Guide documents and I am not able to calculate below parameters:

  • OverDriveVoltage Register for ERM Closed Loop
  • OverDriveVoltage Register for LRA Open Loop
  • OverDriveVoltage Register for LRA Closed Loop
  • RatedVoltage Register for LRA Open Loop
  • RatedVoltage Register for LRA Closed Loop

In Section 1.4.2(LRA — Rated and Overdrive Voltages) of the sloa189 file, the loop mode is not specified. Do we use the same values for LRA in both Open and Closed-loop modes? I checked the ActuatorSettings.h file of the DRV2605LEVM-CT Library and saw that the Open-loop and Closed-Loop settings for LRA are different. How did you calculate these values? Can you please give me the formulas?
