DRV8846: Continuous phase node pin voltage

Part Number: DRV8846

Hi team,

My customer is evaluating the DRV8846. Could you please help with the question below from the customer?

The d/s states that Continuous phase node pin voltage (AOUT1, AOUT2, BOUT1, BOUT2) is defined Min -0.3V, and Transients of ±1 V for less than 25 ns are acceptable. However, when the customer measured the pin voltage, the voltage was -0.9V for several usec. So the customer is considering to add a Schottky Barrier Diode to suppress the negative voltage but it is difficult to find one with a VFmax of less than 0.3V. Could you let me know if you have a recommended SBD? Or Could you tell me if there is a recommended back EMF countermeasure circuit?

Regards,

Yamaguchi
