Just to clarify your question, are you asking about the nFAULT response for over temperature protection (OTP) or over-current protection (OCP)? The images you shared show OCP but the question subject is on OTP.

If you are referring to OCP, this device uses auto-retry for OCP faults similar to the left image on your post.

If you are referring to OTP, the nFAULT is dropped low when the temperature is above the threshold but the fault is cleared once the temperature falls below the OTP threshold.
