DRV10974: DRV10974: Motor is stalled but Motor Driver gives high frequency FG signals, and power the stator continually, but no rotation!

Part Number: DRV10974

Hi

We are using the 10974 for our water pumps, but we have a few that is not starting up but gives Tacho/FG signal at unnormal high frequency, and the Motor Driver is giving the power out to the Stator, so it act as if not stalled, but motor is stalled! So we get wrong information in the FG signal and we heat up the Stator.

It might be something like an other customer had: But can not see what solution were found there

The Main problem is that we get wrong information FG active, so SW do not stop the motor, witch it can on the PWM control signal, when the problem occurs.

Is there a solution for this? It has to be mentioned that the pump/motor have a small defect when this occur, but we need to know that the pump is stalled.
