BOOSTXL-POSMGR: possible design error in boostxl-posmgr

Dear all,

I ordered two BOOSTXL-POSMGR boards for a project my students.

We found the resolver channel does not function as expected. The 15 V power supply is shorted immediately after power on.

After some debugging it turns out the U12 chip is not wired correctly (see page 3 of the schematics BOOSTXL-POSMGR_Sch.pdf).

Pin 4 should be the GND while Pin 8 should be the 15 V power supply. It's wired the other way around in board.

Have any of you encountered the same issue?

The immediate solution is to cut the traces on board and test it out. The other sections of the board are verified to be fine. We dont have a board revision with the fixes. Let us know how you want to proceed.

OK. The traces are difficult to cut. I would cut the pins of the OPAMP, then add two jumper wires. But I would appreciate it if there would be a revision to the board to replace the wrong design.
