I seems I have driver issue with my DRV8312EVM kit.

When I plug in the USB cable, I get (in Windows Device Manager) two entries under Other Devices

with exclamation marks on them: "Texas Instruments XDS100+RS232 V1.0". Nothing appears

under Universal Serial Bus controllers and there is no COM ports section (I believe the kit

should appear as Virtual Comp Port / VCP). I've misplaced the original flash stick that came with

the kit which probably had the drivers, so where can I now download them? I've google high and

low and been up and down the controlSUITE directory on my computer...

Kusti,

Those drivers are particularly well hidden in controlSUITE. Go to \ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\~Utilities\XDS100 Drivers v1.0. You should be able to manually update both of the problematic devices using these drivers. Just point both driver installers to this folder.

When I try this in Win 8/64 it says the INF file lacks a hash and it will not use the drivers from TI. Where can I get a corrected set?

I set Windows 8 to accept unsigned drivers and got them to load and the GUI to connect. Now the display looks perfect and connected, except the DC Bus voltage light is greyed out, and the voltage always reads 28.8

Oh, and THE MOTORS DO NOT RUN...

Anyone got a fix for this?

Have a look at this thread, its rather long story but in the end I manage to get mine to work and your symptoms are somewhat similar.

I'm getting the missing or tampered hash error too. Is there a solution? The documentation on the stick mentions a driver folder on the stick that's not present.
