DRV8801EVM on Windows 7

Just bought this eval kit from Mouser, wanted to hook it up to evaluate the chip and found it doesn't work with windows7. Here is what I did to get it to work. Go to the FTDI web site http://www.ftdichip.com/index.html go to drivers. Plug in your usb cable to the board. (I also hooked up VM Power after usb) Download the VCP driver and manually install it to the unknown device in the device manager. I had to do this twice for some reason but it worked. You can then follow the instructions given with the TI download for the installation of the USB device driver, which has you go to ports in the device manager and set the com port to com4. You will then need to download the application software supplied by TI in this forum called 3005.DRV8800-01_Win7App.zip. Once I did this the eval board was working fine.  Hope this saves someone else some guff.
