DRV2510Q1EVM: Unable to read back output short and output short to ground on the haptic control console

Hi Team,

We are testing the DRV2510Q1EVM and found that the control console does not show output short when we short OUTA and OUTB with a tweezer and output short to ground when we short OUTA to GND with a tweezer.

However, when the load is open, we did see the load open notification in the console.

What's the reason behind this?

Hi Roy,

Have you tried by shorting the output pins with a different tool? Like a cable?
Are Short to PVDD and Short OUTB to GND reported correctly?

I'll double check this on my side.

Hi Ivan,

We have not tried that and I don't have the board with me so I'm not able to do any further tests.

Have you had the chance to try this out?

Hi Roy,

I don't have access to an evaluation module at this time. Perhaps this is a firmware issue, could you try by updating the EVM firmware?
