I do not understand the HOLD state shown in the tables on sheets 10 and 11. What inputs will have a HOLD condition?

Hi Michael,

HOLD state means commanded state (no change). The nHOME and OUTx output will remain at the commanded change until the next rising edge of the STEP input.

If there is no rising edge of STEP, the outputs will be remain at the same location (HOLD state).

The table shows the STEP going from a LOW to HIGH and I assume the - above the arrow indicates it is held in the HIGH state.

Hi Michael,

I think the - above the arrow means "Not rising edge". From the Pin Functions section, the STEP pin connection is listed as "Rising edge advances motor to next step – internal pulldown".
