Hi MDBU Team,

what happen with DRV8303 if the DTC pin keeps open or is connect to GND by a resistor greaterh than 150k ?

Olrik,

The case of DTC being open or higher than 150k is not covered in the device datasheet and therefore we cannot guarantee it's operation. What is the reason for this case?

Hi Adam,

it's from looking into possible sources of error:

in failure it coould be that the resistor isn't connect or >150k. In this case what happen with DRV8303 and DRV8301 and it's functionality.

Sorry for the delay, Design needed to check into this.

Shorting DTC to GND will give the minimum deadtime of 50nS. Increasing higher than 150k will simply increase the DT higher until eventually the deadtime will prevent the switching from occurring at all.
