Hi,

My customer is wonder if this part can operate in reverse direction.

From this capture seems that the part should be able to operate in reverse rotation.

Is this correct?

Hi user021864,

I am guessing your customer is asking about the spindle motor driver. The TPIC2050 cannot reverse the direction, but it may be possible if the U, V, W windings are wired with a different polarity.

All of the other TPIC2050 motor drivers can drive a motor in the forward or reverse direction.

Let me consult another applications engineer who supports this part.
