DRV10987: Do you have measurement data?

Hi experts,

My customer is interested in DRV10987 for three phase BLDC. Customer would like to know how DRV10987 behave if load current is changed during rotating a constant speed. Do you have such data?

  • I'm assuming that you mean what will happen if load TORQUE is changed while rotating at constant speed.
    1) DRV10987 provides constant torque command/constant voltage duty cycle command, not constant speed by itself. Thus, if load torque changed, then the speed that the motor will spin will change.
    2) If you want constant speed, DRV10987 provides the FG pin, which gives speed feedback that can be used in a speed control loop with an MCU. We have reference designs that can be used as reference:
