Implementation of a multi-axismotion control system

Hi,

My goal in my new project is implementation of a multi-axis control system with a PMSM. The control loop must have the circular/linear interpolation capability. Can anyone propose me a suitable TI microcontroller for this purpose that can serve the control loop update speed and smooth motion control profile simultaneously?

It depends on the ISR frequency. I would say all C2000 devices are capable of. You will have to see how many motors, what functions, what peripherals (how many of them), the device MIPS requirement. etc. to decide the actual part number.

Nope !!

If you are doing sensored control, it would require lesser MIPS than sensorless. But again, it depends on what all would you want the device to do.

WIth CCS, you may be able to mock run the code and see how much time is needed.
