Hi Sir,

Customer considering drive 2*two phase stepper motors with Voltage rating at 5V and the current rating should be 400mA per stepper motor.

It’s easy to drive both of stepper motors by 2*DRV8835, but the digital control interface seems not so efficient.

Would you suggest any ideas/ solution to meet requirement ?

    Hi Ian,

    The response below assumes the DRV8835 is operating using full step mode at 100% current.

    The PHASE/ENABLE mode will simplify the interface. Please consider using it.

    Other options include

    The DRV8847 in 2-pin interface mode can reduce the number of GPIOs needed. The DRV8847 can also regulate current if desired.

    The DRV8834 has a STEP/DIR interface and can regulate the current if desired.

    The DRV8846 also has a STEP/DIR interface and can regulate the current if desired.
